CHALLENGE

The challenge was not just about designing a successful brand, website, and marketing frameworks; it also involved overcoming the difficulty of explaining to customers what Cushings disease is, what Cush Away offers, and how it can benefit their furry companions.

OUTCOME

After launching Cush Away, the results were outstanding. The overall conversion rate started modest but with fine-tuning skyrocketed to 7.6%, with the abandoned cart rate sitting steady at 28%. The (AOV) surpassed success metrics, and the (CTLV) settled at 6.3 times the (CAC), resulting in substantial sales on launch and giving Cush Away a sense of momentum. Ten years later, the brand stands as a leading force in the dog health supplement industry.

During a two-day kick-off discovery session with strategist Michael Brand and the executive team at Cush Away, we delved deep into exploring the company's objectives and goals, aligning visions, and discussing strategy, and specific success metrics and KPIs.

Deep during our discovery sessions an epiphany occured, we identified the main pain point—the client's previous challenge in effectively communicating to their audience what their canine supplement product is in a complex and technical veterinarian space.

This realization led to a strategic solution: the creation of three short animated explainer videos. These videos would be designed with the website and user flow in mind and would walk the customer through the journey of understanding Cushings disease, explaining what Cush Away is, and demonstrating how it can provide valuable solutions to pet owners.

Working closely with Cush Away's leadership, we developed user profiles, journeys, and stories, incorporating customer insights gathered through surveys, focus groups, digital marketing reports, personas, user flows, keyword and trend reports (for branding), and a full competitor and product audit.

Our scalable systems provide simplicity similar to a word processor, resulting in a refined site and store structure that feels natural to navigate, effectively conveying the new brand pillars.
